The foot care nurse performs the following procedures:

Treatment of foot ulcers, including for diabetic patients and those with atrophic ulcers

Treatment of skin conditions: fungal infections, calluses, corns, and warts

Treatment and correction of ingrown toenails

Counseling on orthotics

Patient education and counseling, foot care guidance, and advice on footwear selection
